Welcome to my latest studio series; a monthly release of affordable, original art. Each month, I choose a different theme or 'muse' to work with; to give myself a chance to explore and experiment with different mediums, subject matter, techniques and more. My last series called Sunday Still Life, ran for 150 weeks and really expanded my painting practice, so I am eager to see what this new, monthly release brings!

The theme for the month of April has been found and salvaged objects. Please enjoy my offerings of acrylic and oil paintings on varying surfaces

such as architectural material samples, offcuts of hardwood, floating flooring or veneer and even an old school desk table top. I have found it really interesting to experiment with prepping and sanding the surface of these reclaimed materials and exploring how they feel to paint on. Imperfections on the edges of these pieces are designed to be celebrated; to become part of the artwork, and have been chosen intentionally for their quirks.
